Whatever our background, we sinners have one great need: salvation unto transformation in name of the Lord of Glory. In this name, any who may have experienced the ripping up of a family can find great hope.
We need to understand ourselves fundamentally as a people of truth, not a people of emotion. The truth will always engage and shape our emotions at the deepest level.
We have seen the mob, and the mob is us.
To both danger and beauty, then, friends: are we paying attention?
We cannot ensure the salvation of anyone—but we can know that we are doing our part to love those given us by God and to defend his holy honor in a realm that despises it.
What Christ opens no man can shut; what Christ shuts, no man can open.
